Per-query bills punish you for getting useful (more devices = more queries = bigger bill). Per-device bills punish you for protecting more people. Per-tenant flat pricing lets you scale your usage without surprise overages. Soft caps exist for fair-use enforcement; we warn before you'd be billed extra.
We email at 80% and 100%. Going over is fine for a month; we ask you to upgrade if it persists. We never auto-bill for overage without your written agreement — no surprises.
Yes. Free is for evaluation and hobby use. It excludes MCP, webhooks, and scoped API keys because those are commercial-tier features. The 300K queries/mo limit (matching NextDNS's free tier) is enough for a small home with ~10 devices; not enough for a team.
Yes, instantly, at the next billing cycle. Your data is retained through the downgrade — but features locked behind higher tiers (extended retention, additional API keys, etc.) snap to the lower tier's limits. Nothing is deleted; you just lose access to the features.
Pricing is the same in INR (with GST). DPDP-specific data-residency requires the Mumbai region which is on the Enterprise roadmap. Until then, Indian customers run on our US region — we acknowledge this is a gap and are happy to confirm timeline in writing.
Talk to us. Volume pricing for 10+ customer tenants under one billing relationship is real and negotiated case-by-case. White-label (you front-end your customers; we provide the backend) is a separate conversation — we don't ship a generic white-label product today.
The full stack is in a GitHub repo — postgres, clickhouse, AdGuard Home, the Rust API, the FastMCP sidecar, all in one docker-compose. License terms for production self-hosting are a paid Enterprise conversation; eval/internal use under fair-use terms is fine.
No credit card. No billing system yet. Design partners get unlimited usage through 2026; everyone else can self-serve a Free-tier tenant and call the API.
